Micah’s Voice

Multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men and his wife Sharhonda Stockman hosted Micah’s Voice Presents Back In The Day at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, CA. Back in the Day was the 2nd annual benefit concert for Micah’s Voice, the non-profit organization the Stockmans founded to provide financial support and resources to families living with an autism diagnosis. The event was guest hosted by actor / comedian James Corden (The Late Late Show) and featured unforgettable performances by Boyz II Men and Tank. Nearly 300 guests, including Sam Cassell (retired NBA star and LA Clippers assistant coach), Nick Lachey, Bruno Mars, Areva Martin, Neicy Nash, Chris Paul (LA Clippers) and Holly Robinson Peete, joined Micah’s Voice to raise funds and awareness for autism. At the event, which showcased a nostalgic 80s and 90s theme, the foundation recognized Los Angeles Clipper Jamal Crawford and actor/comedian/producer Martin Lawrence with their Act of Kindness Award and honored Leaps n Boundz, an adaptive sports and recreation program for children and young adults with special needs, with the Visionary Award. The star-studded evening raised nearly $100,000 for Micah’s Voice. These proceeds will help the foundation in providing grants for educational services and therapies for children on the autism spectrum.

The Stockmans founded Micah’s Voice in 2013 to provide much needed resources and financial support to families living with an autism diagnosis. After Micah, one of the Stockmans’ twin sons was diagnosed with autism at an early age, they experienced firsthand how daunting and expensive finding the proper resources and treatments for children with autism can be. Their own journey inspired them to help other families facing similar circumstances and to help these very special kids enjoy the best quality of life possible.
